On autumn, Castello Benelli once again opens its doors to take visitors on a tour of its restored halls and historic garden, enveloped in warm seasonal colors. An opportunity to experience the charm of the castle in an intimate and authentic atmosphere.
Castello Benelli, which has joined the Great Italian Gardens and Period Residences, will open its doors and those of its magnificent surrounding garden.
Castello Benelli, which has joined the Grandi giardini italiani and Residenze D’epoca, will open its doors and those of its magnificent surrounding garden.
The Castle, , which is located in the countryside of Bordonchio, in the countryside of Igea Marina, was erected at the behest of Count Pietro Spina in the 19th century, tracing the foundations of an ancient medieval castle dating back to the 11th century.
Even in autumn, Castello Benelli continues to tell its story. Guided tours return with a new look, dedicated to the beauty of the season: the historic garden lights up in shades of gold, red and orange, offering a striking glimpse of the park’s tree-lined avenues and noble architecture.
Inside, restored rooms, ceilings and period furnishings take visitors on a journey through art, architecture and memory, enriched by stories, anecdotes and curiosities related to castle life over the centuries.
Visits are designed for small groups to ensure a more intimate and personal experience. A perfect time for those seeking culture, silence and beauty, away from the hectic pace of summer.
Castello Benelli opened its doors last year after a careful restoration that saw it return to its ancient splendour: an enchantment that opens up just a few steps from the sea between the richly frescoed rooms of the restored interiors and the greenery of the ancient maritime pines and surrounding gardens. Situated in Igea Marina, Castello Benelli takes its name from Ignazio Benelli, who became its owner in 1917 and is still owned by the Benelli family, which has overseen its restoration and enhancement.
