Discover one of Bologna’s hidden gems with this guided tour of Palazzo Boncompagni and its garden.
In the historic center of Bologna, just a short walk from Piazza Maggiore, stands Palazzo Boncompagni: a refined 16th-century Renaissance palace and birthplace of Pope Gregory XIII, known for his reform of the Gregorian calendar.
During the tour, participants will be taken on a discovery of the frescoed rooms, the famous spiral staircase attributed to Vignola, the loggia with twisted columns and, exceptionally, the private garden, a charming and little-known green corner in the heart of the city.
Palazzo Boncompagni can be visited only by guided tour with reservations required, , click here to reserve
