Castello Benelli

The castle, located in the Bordonchio countryside, was erected at the behest of Count Pietro Spina in the 19th century, tracing the foundations of an ancient medieval castle dating back to the 11th century.

The mansion was purchased in 1917 by the Benelli family and is still today a fascinating location not only for its architecture, but also for the green of the maritime pines by which it is surrounded, which in a not too distant past stretched from the countryside to the sea.

Historically, the castle was dedicated to wine production, today it cultivates wheat, sunflowers and maize. The farm is still active and boasts numerous awards such as the medal from the stud bull competition.
