Palazzo Boncompagni is social
After the success of the anthological exhibition at the GAM in Nervi, Genoa, Palazzo Boncompagni offers the city a significant selection of 24 works by the great artist Marino Marini, more than ten years after his exhibition at the Civic Archaeological Museum. Then, the proposed comparison was with ancient Egyptian, Etruscan and Roman art, while now his works converse with the mature Renaissance, of which Palazzo Boncompagni is an extraordinary example.
FROM THE RENAISSANCE TO THE REBIRTH – This is a very special exhibition, both for the place that hosts it, the splendid 16th Century Palazzo Boncompagni with its frescoes and extraordinary spiral staircase by Vignola, and for the unprecedented relationship that has been created between the Palazzo of Pope Gregory XIII, a great figure of innovation, and Michelangelo Pistoletto, one of the greatest contemporary artists.
